Alison Haill
A British national, Alison Haill has worked for 30 years in the field of international communications skills. She is a consultant, trainer and coach working with organizations and companies in the UK and around the world. She has focused for many years on helping multi-nationality teams work productively and creatively together, supporting individuals at all levels to communicate more effectively with different nationalities and cultures.
Alison has lived and worked in many different countries, first in Brazil, Slovenia and Croatia, then in Egypt and Singapore. She has experienced at first hand the realities of working in an intercultural environment and later, moving abroad with her husband and 2 small children, of family expatriation. Now based in Oxford UK, she continues to work abroad - mainly in South America, the Nordic countries and Europe - and to gain important cultural insights.
Besides projects with Global’Ease, she runs Oxford Professional Consultancy, a UK-based company, working with organizations in the UK and abroad to develop their strategic thinking, lead teams more effectively and improve the morale, motivation and productivity of the workforce.
Her interest in other cultures started at university where she specialized in Hispanic studies, traveling to Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru as part of her studies. Later she completed a Post-graduate Certificate of Education and later a Master’s degree in Applied English Linguistics and a Diploma in Coaching. She is a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Management, the Society for Intercultural Research and Training (SIETAR Europa), the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL). She is also an Export Communications Consultant accredited by the British Chambers of Commerce to help small and medium-sized businesses (SME’s) to export more effectively through focused communication strategies.
She speaks several languages but has found that doing all work in English gives maximum benefit to her clients.
Alison loves teaching, traveling abroad and working with motivated people - so she believes she has the perfect job.
