Andrés Malavé

Andrés Malavé is trilingual & tricultural, born in New York to Puerto Rican parents, and raised in California. He moved to Puerto Rico with his family and feels at home in French, Anglo, and Hispanic cultures. His professional career began in Real Estate, where he learned first hand the importance of culture in business when participating in the transfer of a successful business model in California to Miami and Puerto Rico. He began to discover the world of training as a competitive gymnastics coach in California. Then, in Puerto Rico he pursued his vocation in preparing adults to express themselves with confidence in a foreign culture. He lived in Nagoya, Japan for two years, worked in England for several years and has been based in France since 1995. In 2002 he completed an Executive MBA with a European consortium of business schools. His Master Thesis focused on Global Ethics: Is it possible to think of one ethics model for doing business?

Andrés has always been fascinated by how persons work in different cultures. He has managed teaching teams for business schools in France (Audencia), directed marketing studies for English businesses in the UK with Italian trainees, prepared executives from different countries to communicate effectively in a foreign setting, developed multi cultural body language seminars for European managers.

As development manager for the Ecole Centrale de Nantes an engineering university, his work focused on creating closer ties between the public sector personnel and private sector managers while promoting and selling training programmes and innovative e-learning tools, to industrial partners such as Airbus, Alcatel, Thales, Yves Rocher. In 2005 he launched his own consulting business to Small businesses in Western France who want to develop and perform better at an international level.
