"Roots and Wings, My Adventure Roadbook" is a creative journal for children of expatriates.
The 180 pages guide children from the preparation stages of
an overseas experience, through the first days, the first
months, adaptation, to the re-entry stage.
Roots and Wings is a creative journal that allows children
to record their memories of their life abroad, express their
feelings, strengthen their sense of identity. |

Each page gives them room to
assert themselves through drawing, painting, writing, collage…
It was written for 7 to 11 year-old children and can be
used by younger ones with their parents' help.
The children's book comes with a parents' guide that offers
practical advice on raising children overseas as well as
a page-by-page description of how to make the most of this
creative journal as a family communication tool.
The book and its guide were written by Françoise
Bourlet, a mobility manager and mother of two children,
and Nathalie Kleinschmit, Global'Ease director and mother
of three. |
A splendid book and of an obvious
utility.
To find the good words at the good time to accompany
our children during the expatriation is not always obvious.
This book enables us to understand what they live and
to effectively accompany them and according to their needs;,
it is a splendid tool.

Your workbook and parents guide arrived
today and I cannot recall spending a more enjoyable afternoon.
How I wish I'd had the use of material like this when I was
moving our children around the globe! … This is the best
material I have seen for children on the topic of moving. It
clearly was designed by people who know the process and understand
children.
